Microware Appoints Veteran Technologist Lin Shiqing as Chief Executive Officer

Bulletin Express
Aug 20

Microware Group Limited announced the appointment of Mr. Lin Shiqing as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective 20 August 2026. The move completes the separation of the chairman and CEO roles in line with Hong Kong Listing Rules and the Corporate Governance Code (C.2.1).

Mr. Lin, 50, brings more than 20 years of leadership in global and regional IT operations, enterprise technology and digital transformation. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Kyndryl Hong Kong Limited (July 2021–May 2026), directing business operations, client relationships and service delivery. His prior roles include: • General Manager of Professional Services at Tongdun Technology, focusing on AI- and cloud-enabled risk management solutions. • Head of Ping An Cloud Technical Support and Vice Chief Engineer at Ping An Technology, where he built the group’s cloud service management and deployment framework across financial, governmental and overseas markets. • Senior management positions at IBM China/Hong Kong and IBM Shenzhen, leading large-scale IT infrastructure and data-centre projects for financial services, insurance and public-sector clients.

Lin holds dual bachelor’s degrees in English Language & Culture (Shantou University) and Computer Applications (Sun Yat-sen University).

Under his service contract, effective from 20 August 2026, remuneration will be set by the board based on qualifications, responsibilities and market benchmarks; either party may terminate the contract with at least one month’s written notice.

With Lin’s appointment, Chairman Wang Guangbo relinquishes interim CEO duties, bringing Microware into full compliance with the Corporate Governance Code requirement for separate chairman and CEO roles.

The board extended a formal welcome to Mr. Lin as he assumes leadership of Microware’s next phase of technology and digital development.
