JPMorgan Chase Chief Executive Jamie Dimon has cautioned that inconsistent tax policies, uneven regulatory enforcement, and assorted hurdles confronting foreign companies may dampen investment flows into India.

In an interview with The Economic Times, Dimon stressed that India must actively foster competition, guarantee equitable treatment, and strengthen governance to attract greater global capital.

Dimon noted that the Reserve Bank of India "clearly understands what it aims to achieve," expressing confidence in the central bank's direction.

He also stated that despite the United States' excessively high sovereign debt levels and rising inflation, the country remains a preferred destination for quality investment.
