To tackle challenges such as poor sales channels and limited distribution for agricultural products, the city has introduced innovative measures to support farmers. By utilizing group orders, cooperative coordination, and livestream e-commerce, stable and efficient sales channels have been established, allowing local specialty products to move beyond the fields, expand their markets, increase farmers' incomes, and strengthen village collective economies.
Recently, staff from Zhongxian Village in Jichuan Subdistrict visited a family farm to inspect chicken coop management and egg production. They collected 2,000 eggs on-site, providing targeted sales support to help farmers overcome difficulties and boost earnings. "Previously, we could only sell eggs sporadically within the village and nearby areas, often leading to stockpiles. Now the village helps us secure orders and expand sales, allowing us to sell thousands more eggs each month," said farm owner Wu Guiping.
To address issues like narrow sales coverage and low efficiency for individual sellers, Zhongxian Village established a village-level professional cooperative. This cooperative integrates local farming resources, standardizes product quality, promotes local specialty agricultural products, and builds a regular sales coordination system to clear bottlenecks in agricultural sales. "We actively build partnerships with property management and enterprises in the area, regularly taking orders from community residents and corporate group purchases. We focus on helping farmers sell pears, eggs, and other products, which broadens their sales channels, stabilizes incomes, and strengthens the village collective economy," explained Xu Jinting, deputy secretary of the village Party branch.
In Shanhu Town, the specialty pecan industry has become a new highlight for increasing farmers' incomes. Xujiazhuang Village has cultivated this beneficial industry for years, now with over 600 acres planted and more than 10 varieties. Pecans can be sold directly as natural snacks or further processed into pecan oil and specialty pastries, adding high value. Taking advantage of the pecan harvest, town and village officials conducted practical livestreaming exercises to enhance new media marketing skills, building a talent base for future online sales of agricultural products. "We organize officials to go into the fields and use new media platforms to promote original ecological pecans, enhance local brand recognition, invigorate specialty industries, and energize rural development," said Wang Ling, a staff member from Shanhu Town's Party Building Office.
In recent years, the city has continuously activated the momentum of rural industrial development, guiding village officials and new farmers to use new media marketing tools, actively connecting with modern consumption scenarios, and bridging the "last mile" of agricultural product sales. The city's agricultural sales model is transitioning from scattered individual sales to scaled, standardized, and order-based operations, solidifying the foundation for rural industrial revitalization and broadening channels for increasing people's incomes.
