Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region serves as a key sending-end hub for the national west-to-east electricity transmission program and is the country's first comprehensive new energy demonstration zone, where local authorities are vigorously developing clean energy industries such as photovoltaic power, wind power and new-type energy storage in desert, gobi and barren areas.
The image, captured on September 28, shows the Ningdong 2-million-kilowatt hybrid photovoltaic base located at the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base in Ningxia.
