Qinghai's Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Volume Reaches 193.832 Million Yuan in First Eight Months of the Year

On September 24, news from the Qinghai Provincial Department of Commerce revealed that in the first eight months of this year, the province's cross-border e-commerce transaction volume reached 193.832 million yuan, a 2.2-fold increase compared to the full previous year. The 9810 cross-border e-commerce export overseas warehouse model achieved a zero breakthrough, and four new market entities with cross-border e-commerce performance were added.

To further promote the quality and efficiency improvement of cross-border e-commerce across the province, the Provincial Department of Commerce took proactive service measures, continuously went to the front lines to conduct research and matchmaking, precisely organized resource matching, systematically carried out specialized business training, and adopted multiple approaches to resolve enterprise operational difficulties and cultivate market entities, making every effort to drive the stabilization and recovery of cross-border e-commerce across the province and consolidate the growth foundation of new foreign trade formats.

The Provincial Department of Commerce, together with the organizing committee of the Yellow River Basin Cross-Border E-Commerce Expo, conducted specialized research and investment promotion roadshows on "cross-border e-commerce plus industrial belts." Institutions such as the Qingdao Customs Technology Center and Yiyunying shared solutions including "pre-inspection" and "overseas warehouse sharing." In collaboration with the Xining (National-level) Economic and Technological Development Zone, customs, taxation, and other departments, a specialized training session on high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce was held, featuring systematic instruction on compliance policies and AI digital intelligence sessions, with more than 110 government and enterprise representatives participating.

In terms of incubating market entities, the department joined forces with relevant parks and the Hangzhou cross-border e-commerce service platform to hold matchmaking meetings, promoting precise alignment between park enterprises and platform resources, facilitating the registration and establishment of Hangzhou Shiyan Technology Industry Development Co., Ltd., incubating local cross-border e-commerce entities, and creating a favorable ecosystem for cross-border e-commerce development. As of now, the province has 75 cross-border e-commerce enterprises registered with Xining Customs, representing substantial growth in the number of market entities.

The Provincial Department of Commerce selectively supports parks with strong industrial foundations and significant development potential, improves supporting service systems, and promotes the integrated development of "industrial belts plus cross-border e-commerce." It continues to deepen coordination with customs, taxation, foreign exchange, and other departments, regularly convenes joint meetings, and promptly resolves common difficulties encountered by enterprises in customs clearance, tax refunds, and foreign exchange settlement. It strengthens the tiered cultivation of cross-border e-commerce entities, supports traditional foreign trade enterprises and manufacturing enterprises in transforming to engage in cross-border e-commerce business, guides small and medium-sized enterprises to expand online export channels through third-party platforms, and continuously expands the scale of market entities.
