During the National Day holiday, the whole country celebrates. While most people enjoy time off with family, inside the electromechanical repair workshop of Jingfu Company, electrician Liu Zixuan and his colleagues are hard at work inspecting and repairing mining explosion-proof switches, safeguarding the mine's electromechanical safety through the strength of youth.
This is Liu Zixuan's fourth year on the job. From an apprentice who had just entered the workshop to a skilled electrical repair technician capable of independently completing equipment overhauls, over these four years he has rooted himself in the electromechanical maintenance position, devoted himself to studying the principles of underground electrical equipment, and honed his craft through repeated disassembly, repair, and debugging. This National Day, he voluntarily chose to stay on duty, carrying responsibility on his shoulders.
In the repair area, Liu Zixuan crouches beside an explosion-proof switch, eyes fixed on the internal wiring, carefully checking whether lines and components show any aging or damage. Beside him, a colleague grips a wrench to tighten bolts. The two work in seamless coordination, meticulously conducting a full "health check" on the electrical equipment. "High-voltage equipment leaves no room for carelessness. Every screw and every wire must be checked thoroughly to ensure underground power safety," Liu Zixuan says as he inspects.
Inside the workshop, the rise and fall of wrenches and the clatter of tools form the most reassuring safety melody of the holiday. Underground production continues during the holiday period, and the stable operation of explosion-proof electrical equipment is a critical guarantee for mine power supply safety. The team has drawn up a National Day maintenance plan in advance, overhauling and testing each piece of electrical equipment entering the mine item by item, not overlooking a single minor hazard.
As a young employee, Liu Zixuan takes the initiative to handle equipment testing, wiring inspections, and other tasks, carefully recording every piece of maintenance data to ensure that overhauled equipment meets standards before going underground. "Although I can't go home for the holiday, protecting the electromechanical equipment and ensuring safe underground production is our mission as electrical repair workers," he says. After four years on the job, Liu Zixuan has grown accustomed to spending holidays at his post. He pours his youthful sweat into the repair site, building a solid electrical safety defense line with a rigorous and meticulous attitude.
Duty at one's post, brilliance of youth. This National Day, Liu Zixuan and his colleagues in the electromechanical team remain at the repair frontline, sacrificing their own family reunions for the greater good, wholeheartedly carrying out the inspection and maintenance of every piece of electrical equipment, safeguarding the smooth operation of the mine's electromechanical systems through youthful dedication, and writing the responsibility and commitment of young miners through practical action.
