Railway Ticketing Reservation Window Gradually Reduced from 60 Days to 30 Days

Starting from September 26, the railway department has begun gradually adjusting the reservable date range for the train ticket reservation service piloted on the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, shifting it from between the 60th and 17th days before departure to between the 30th and 17th days before departure.

Passengers can submit their reservation requests through the "Reserved Ticket Purchase" section of the Railway 12306 mobile app. On September 26 itself, tickets with travel dates before November 24 can be reserved; from September 27 to October 26, a transitional adjustment period will be in place, during which the furthest date available for reservation remains November 24; and starting from October 27, reservations can be made on a regular basis for train tickets with travel dates between the 30th and 17th days before departure.
