SICC (02631) briefly climbed more than 6% in intraday trading, though gains later narrowed. At the time of writing, the stock was up 2.85% at HK$70.35, with turnover reaching HK$117 million.

According to comments made by SICC's Chief Financial Officer You Ying at a recent results briefing, the capacity utilization rate of the company's 8-inch production line has been steadily ramping up. As downstream orders are released, utilization levels are improving incrementally.

SICC's Chairman and General Manager Zong Yanmin stated that the company's current production capacity supply has already become relatively tight. With the continued expansion of emerging application areas such as downstream new energy vehicles, green energy solar and storage, and AI data centers, the company expects capacity to become even more constrained in the second half of the year.

Notably, in recent years, SICC has been actively researching and laying out various new materials, including diamond, which can significantly enhance device heat dissipation capabilities. Zong Yanmin revealed that the company's "diamond single crystal preparation and substrate surface precision processing" project has now entered the sample stage.
