On September 22, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce unveiled the "2026 China Top 500 Private Enterprises" list, which includes nine private companies from Shanxi Province. The Shanxi-based firms featured on this year's ranking are Shanxi Pengfei Group Co., Ltd. at number 99, Shanxi Jincheng Steel Holding Group Co., Ltd. at number 157, Shanxi Jinnan Steel Group Co., Ltd. at number 173, Shanxi Jianbang Group Co., Ltd. at number 188, Changzhi Nanye Industrial Group Co., Ltd. at number 343, Shanxi LUBao Group at number 453, Shanxi Antai Holdings Group Co., Ltd. at number 466, Shanxi Jinxiu Daxiang Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Group Co., Ltd. at number 472, and Shanxi Gaoyi Steel Co., Ltd. at number 476.

This year, the federation conducted its 28th survey of large-scale private enterprises, with a total of 6,350 companies that reported annual revenues exceeding 1 billion yuan in 2025 participating in the assessment. The top 500 companies by revenue were selected for the "2026 China Top 500 Private Enterprises" list, marking those with the highest revenue thresholds in the country. According to the survey results, the combined total revenue of the top 500 private enterprises reached 44.93 trillion yuan, averaging 89.851 billion yuan per company, reflecting a 4.35% increase from the previous year. Additionally, 110 companies achieved revenues surpassing 100 billion yuan, while 12 companies exceeded the 500 billion yuan revenue mark. The total assets of these leading firms amounted to 53.74 trillion yuan, with an average of 107.479 billion yuan per company, showing a year-on-year growth of 5.05%.
