According to data disclosed by Strategy (MSTR.US) on 28 September, during the week ending 27 September, the company purchased 1,665 bitcoins for $142.7 million, at an average acquisition cost of $85,681 per coin.
Looking back at the previous week, the company had purchased 950 bitcoins for $75.7 million, and these two consecutive operations completely ended a three-month purchasing drought.
It is worth noting that the latest round of purchases surged by approximately 75% compared to the previous week, directly reversing the negative trend within the quarter.
It is also worth noting that the company additionally used $48.1 million in cash for STRC repurchases, bringing the total STRC repurchase amount to $151.7 million.
This dual-track operation reveals different strategic intentions: purchasing bitcoins aims to increase the company's core asset reserves, while repurchasing STRC relates to the management of the preferred stock portion within Strategy's overall financing structure.
The CSOP 2x Long MSTR (07799) rose over 5%, up 5.33% as of press time, at HK$5.035, with a turnover of HK$1.4858 million.
