Singapore, Sep, 24 2026 – IHH Healthcare announced that its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Northern TK Venture Pte Ltd (NTK), has filed a petition with the Tokyo High Court to appeal the Tokyo District Court judgment delivered on Sep, 10 2026.

NTK decided to seek appellate review after assessing the ruling, which concerns delays in obtaining mandatory tender offer approvals for IHH’s 2018 acquisition of Fortis Healthcare. IHH maintains that these delays stemmed from a dispute between Daiichi Sankyo and certain judgment debtors, a matter in which IHH was not involved.

The company emphasized that its acquisition of Fortis was executed through a transparent, publicly disclosed process and secured all requisite corporate, shareholder and regulatory clearances, including approvals from the Competition Commission of India and the Securities and Exchange Board of India.

Reaffirming its commitment to India, IHH stated plans to raise its stake in Fortis to 51% over the next three to five years, integrate the Fortis and Gleneagles platforms more closely, and expand its hospital capacity to roughly 10,000 beds by 2031.
