ICBC Completes Redemption of US$6.16 Billion Offshore Perpetual Capital Bonds

On September 28, a financial news update reported that Industrial And Commercial Bank Of China Limited (ASX: 601398) today issued an announcement stating that on September 24, 2021, the bank completed the issuance of US$6.16 billion in offshore perpetual capital bonds (referred to as the bonds) in the overseas market, and on August 25, 2026, it published the "Announcement of Industrial And Commercial Bank Of China Limited on the Redemption of Offshore Perpetual Capital Bonds."

According to the terms and conditions of the bonds, ICBC (HKEX: 01398) has exercised its redemption right and completed the redemption of all outstanding bonds on September 24, 2026.

As of the date of this announcement, there is no longer any outstanding balance under the bonds.

The bank has applied to The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited for the withdrawal of the listing of the bonds. The withdrawal of the listing of the bonds is expected to take effect at the close of business on October 7, 2026.
