Gross profit rose 48.4% to RMB743.22 million, although the gross margin narrowed to 29.3% from 32.9% as upstream material costs increased. The company delivered a net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB67.59 million, reversing a RMB78.01 million loss a year earlier. Net profit after non-recurring items improved to a RMB47.91 million loss versus a RMB106.99 million loss in 1H 2025.

Cost structure and investment Research and development expense increased 23.5% to RMB446.33 million, representing 17.6% of revenue, as headcount rose to 704 engineers (+20%). Selling & marketing expense climbed 27.9% to RMB140.62 million, while administrative expense rose 21.8% to RMB174.43 million. Finance costs were RMB12.84 million, up 13.4%.
Financial position Total assets reached RMB10.51 billion, with cash and cash equivalents of RMB2.30 billion. Interest-bearing borrowings expanded to RMB1.58 billion, lifting the gearing ratio to 26.2% from 21.3% at end-2025. Net assets stood at RMB7.76 billion.
Capital expenditure amounted to RMB347.23 million, focused on capacity expansion and process development; committed but undrawn capex totalled RMB208.62 million. Net cash used in operations was RMB710.48 million, reflecting higher working-capital requirements, while cash generated from financing activities was RMB667.20 million, supported by bank loans and the exercise of the Hong Kong over-allotment option that raised RMB103.17 million.
Share actions During the period, Novosense repurchased 521,686 A-shares for RMB87.34 million to fund future employee incentive plans, bringing treasury shares to 1.37 million A-shares. No interim dividend was declared.
