Spot gold and silver tumbled, sending precious metals stocks broadly lower in premarket trading. Gold Fields plunged over 14%, Harmony Gold Mining and ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI PLC fell more than 6%, Coeur Mining, Hecla Mining and First Majestic Silver dropped over 5%, Pan American Silver declined more than 4%, and Newmont Mining slipped nearly 4%.
