Google Unveils Frontier Model Gemini 4 Argon, Set for Release Once Safety Is Assured

Google has announced the launch of a new frontier model called Gemini 4 Argon on its official blog.
The new model will first be made available to the U.S. government and a select group of trusted cybersecurity defense organizations through the Fairwind Program.
During its initial rollout, Argon will be priced at $2 per one million input tokens and $10 per one million output tokens, while cached input tokens will be priced 95% lower than standard input tokens.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in a post on X that the model will be made available to users as soon as possible once safety is ensured.
