Brazil Refuses to Refund Licensing Fees to Betting Companies

Brazil will not refund licensing fees to betting companies, Finance Minister Dario Durigan said at a press conference in Sao Paulo on Friday.

The government has already assessed the impact of the betting ban on various industries.

The government will open talks with football clubs and the football association regarding their debt issues.

Planning Minister Bruno Moretti stated that "Brazil Debt Relief Plan 3.0" will acquire and restructure household debt from financial institutions, and the plan will affect the primary fiscal budget.

The government will re-coordinate spending and incorporate debt acquisition into the budget arrangement.
