In order to effectively strengthen the cybersecurity defense line in the railway station area and raise cybersecurity awareness among passengers and station staff, the Hunchun Station Police Office of the Yanbian Railway Public Security Division recently organized a themed campaign titled "Cybersecurity for the People, Cybersecurity Relying on the People," bringing cybersecurity knowledge directly to passengers at this border station.

The campaign was carried out through simultaneous internal and external efforts. Internally, all police officers were organized to participate in specialized cybersecurity study sessions, focusing on police intranet usage, office terminal security, police account management, classified information protection, and online speech standards. Warning education was conducted, and self-inspections of office equipment for cybersecurity vulnerabilities were carried out to reinforce officers' baseline thinking on cybersecurity, strictly prevent internal information leakage risks, and solidify the foundation of internal police cybersecurity.

Externally, officers distributed cybersecurity and anti-fraud materials to passengers in densely populated areas such as the waiting hall and ticket office of Hunchun Station. Combining railway travel scenarios, they focused on explaining high-frequency fraud schemes such as fake refund and ticket change text messages, phishing links impersonating the 12306 platform, information theft through unfamiliar public Wi-Fi, and AI-powered impersonation of friends and relatives. Using case studies to explain the law, they reminded passengers to properly safeguard their ID cards, train tickets, and bank card information, not to casually disclose SMS verification codes, and not to click on unfamiliar links. Targeted one-on-one presentations were conducted for elderly passengers and cross-border travelers, with on-site guidance for downloading and activating the "National Anti-Fraud Center" app.

At the same time, officers visited station crew dormitories and station-area shops to popularize relevant laws among railway employees and business operators, explaining key points such as personal information protection in the workplace and preventing fraud involving impersonation of superiors requesting money transfers.

This campaign further expanded the reach of cybersecurity awareness, effectively enhancing the ability of people in the station area to understand the internet, use it properly, and guard against fraud. Going forward, the Hunchun Station Police Office will integrate cybersecurity awareness into daily duty operations, continuously carry out regular legal education campaigns, build a solid cybersecurity protection barrier for the border railway station area, and safeguard passengers' safe travels.
