Multi-Chem Limited on Sep, 22 2026 issued a detailed response to Singapore Exchange queries after disclosing that its Chief Executive Officer Foo Suan Sai, Chief Operating Officer Han Juat Hoon, Regional Director Pui Boon Tiong and Regional Product Manager Ker Jian Yan were interviewed by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB).
The company said Foo and Han, who were interviewed on Sep, 15 2026 and Sep, 14 2026 respectively, have surrendered their passports and posted bail. They remain subject to conditions not to commit offences, interfere with witnesses or leave Singapore without court approval. Both continue to perform their executive duties in full, and the Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARMC) is assessing whether further safeguards are needed.
Pui and Ker were interviewed on Sep, 14 2026. Ker is not subject to travel restrictions, while Pui has been instructed by CPIB not to discuss the investigation. According to Ker, the interview involved claims reimbursement related to vendor personnel, but Foo and Han said CPIB has barred them from discussing details of the probe.
The board said it is unaware whether Multi-Chem or any subsidiary is a subject of investigation and confirmed no other employees have been interviewed to date. The Nominating Committee, with Foo recusing himself, concluded that both executive directors remain suitable to serve, noting they have not been charged and are critical to business continuity.
Contingency plans include elevating Executive Director and General Manager Foo Fang Yong to a larger management role if necessary. The company will update the market on any material developments.
