Jiuyuan Gene Buys Back 236,800 H Shares, Treasury Stock Rises to 5.57 Million

Hangzhou Jiuyuan Genetic Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“Jiuyuan Gene”) disclosed that it repurchased 236,800 H shares on 17 September 2026 via on-market transactions at prices ranging from HKD 5.499 to HKD 5.600 per share, for a volume-weighted average of HKD 5.559. The aggregate consideration amounted to HKD 1.32 million.

Post-transaction, Jiuyuan Gene’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) declined by 0.10 % to 239.82 million. Treasury shares increased from 5.34 million to 5.57 million, while the company’s total issued share capital remained unchanged at 245.40 million shares because the repurchased stock was retained as treasury shares rather than cancelled.

The buyback was conducted under the general mandate granted on 15 June 2026, which allows repurchases of up to 24.15 million shares. To date, the company has repurchased 1.69 million shares under this mandate, representing 0.70 % of the issued shares outstanding at the time the authorization was approved. In accordance with Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, Jiuyuan Gene is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 17 October 2026.

The board affirmed that the repurchase complied with all applicable listing rules, legal requirements, and conditions set by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and confirmed that full payment for the shares has been received.
