Midea Group Announces Book Closure Ahead of First 2026 Extraordinary General Meeting

Midea Group has scheduled its first extraordinary general meeting (EGM) for 2026 on 13 October 2026 at 2:30 p.m., to be held in the Function Hall of Midea 08 Exhibition Hall, No. 2 Yixing Road, Beijiao Town, Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong Province.

To determine shareholder eligibility for attending and voting at the EGM, the register of members for H-shareholders will be closed from 8 October 2026 through 13 October 2026, inclusive. During this period no transfers of H shares will be processed. The record date for voting rights is set for 13 October 2026.

H-shareholders intending to participate must lodge all share transfer documents, together with the relevant share certificates, with the Company’s H-share registrar, Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited (Shops 1712-1716, 17/F, Hopewell Centre, 183 Queen’s Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong), no later than 4:30 p.m. on 7 October 2026.

A circular containing full details of resolutions to be tabled, the EGM notice and proxy form will be released on the company’s website (www.midea.com.cn) and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange website (www.hkexnews.hk) in due course.

The announcement was authorized for issue by Chairman, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Fang Hongbo on behalf of the Board on 22 September 2026. The Board currently comprises five executive directors, one non-executive director and four independent non-executive directors.
