China Tobacco International (HK) Company Limited (CTIHK) announced that, effective 30 September 2026, Mr. Li Bin has been appointed Chairman of the Board and Non-Executive Director. Concurrently, he assumes the roles of Chairman of the Nomination Committee and the Strategic Development Committee, and joins the Remuneration Committee as a member.
Mr. Li, aged 56, brings 34 years of experience across multiple provincial tobacco enterprises. His career includes senior positions at China Tobacco Guangdong Industrial Co., Ltd., China Tobacco Guangxi Industrial Co., Ltd., China Tobacco Henan Industrial Co., Ltd., and China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co., Ltd. Since July 2026, he has been Chairman of China Tobacco International Group Limited and General Manager and Director of China Tobacco International Inc.
Mr. Li holds a Bachelor of Engineering and an MBA from South China University of Technology. Under his service contract with CTIHK, he will serve without director remuneration. He will stand for election at the next annual general meeting and, if re-elected, will be subject to rotation at least once every three years in line with Hong Kong Listing Rules and the company’s articles of association.
Following Mr. Li’s appointment, Executive Director Mr. Dai Jiahui ceases to perform duties as Board Chairman. The updated Board now comprises one non-executive director (Mr. Li), four executive directors, and four independent non-executive directors, satisfying all Listing Rule requirements for committee composition.
