Midea Group Co., Ltd. (Midea Group) reported a marginal contraction in its outstanding A-share capital following a one-day share repurchase and the exercise of employee stock options on 22 September 2026.

On 22 September, the company bought back 1.82 million A-shares on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange at prices ranging between RMB 80.30 and RMB 82.61, for a total consideration of RMB 150.06 million. The repurchased shares, earmarked for future cancellation, have been classified as treasury stock, lifting the treasury-share balance to 176.18 million shares.

Concurrently, 233,472 new A-shares were issued at an exercise price of RMB 41.44 under the Ninth Stock Option Incentive Plan to eligible employees.

Net impact on capital structure: • Outstanding A-shares (excluding treasury) declined by 1.59 million to 6.80 billion, equating to a 0.02 % reduction versus the previous day. • Total issued shares, including treasury stock, edged up slightly to 6.98 billion. • Treasury shares now represent 2.52 % of total issued capital, up from 2.50 % before the transactions.

The company confirmed that both the buyback and option exercise were duly authorised by the board and executed in compliance with Shenzhen Stock Exchange regulations and relevant Hong Kong listing rules.
