Bank of Singapore has announced that Cecil Yeo will officially join the bank on December 7, 2026, as Head of ASEAN Markets.

In addition to this role, he will also be responsible for driving business expansion in the Thailand market, overseeing the formulation of an integrated market strategy and business plan.

This appointment will further solidify Bank of Singapore's business foundation in the Southeast Asia region.

Cecil Yeo will be based in Singapore and will report to Vi Sun Yang, Head of Private Banking ASEAN at the bank.

Cecil Yeo is a seasoned private banker with more than thirty years of experience in capital markets and wealth management. He possesses deep market knowledge, extensive client relationships, and a strong track record of building and leading teams in Southeast Asia.

Throughout his career, he has advised business owners and ultra-high-net-worth clients, while also holding regional leadership roles in client coverage, investment solutions, and fixed income, currencies, and commodities.

Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, Cecil Yeo spent twenty years at UBS, where he held multiple senior executive positions. His most recent role was Managing Director, Deputy Head of Indonesia and Japan Business Segments, and Deputy Head of Indonesia Market, where he managed the teams for those markets.

Earlier in his tenure, he was responsible for managing UBS's Asia-Pacific Wealth Management Foreign Exchange division.

This appointment follows Vi Sun Yang's assumption of the role of Head of Private Banking ASEAN in June of this year.
