NetEase (09999) climbed more than 5% in late trading. As of press time, the stock was up 4.70% at HK$189.4, with turnover of HK$1.729 billion.

On the news front, on September 13, during the 2026 Blizzard Carnival event, Blizzard Entertainment officially announced a new StarCraft title, an open-world shooter planned for release in 2030.

Goldman Sachs noted that Blizzard has announced its new game release pipeline through 2030 (including Diablo V, a new StarCraft title, and World of Warcraft: Infinite), which, given NetEase's exclusive licensing partnership in China, is expected to provide an additional revenue stream. The investment bank also said it assessed NetEase's major game pipeline for 2027 and believes the pipeline will boost the company's revenue after a lackluster 2026. If executed properly, the bank expects the pipeline next year to contribute more than 10% in incremental revenue. More importantly, the overseas market revenue and popularity gains brought by Infinite Boundless are expected to change the stock's narrative and drive a valuation re-rating.
