On September 28, the 2026 Hangzhou International Talent Exchange and Project Cooperation Conference special job fair kicked off at Hall 4C of the Hangzhou International Expo Center. More than 360 employers and over 7,000 positions gathered together for a sincere "two-way connection" with talented individuals from all over.
Star-Studded Lineup Brings 7,000 Positions to Recruit Talent
It is reported that this job fair brought together more than 360 employers, offering over 7,000 positions for fresh and previous college graduates, as well as professionals with work experience, management talent, and highly skilled workers. Among them, companies related to "AI plus" numbered 294, accounting for 80.3 percent of the total participating units; technical research and development positions made up more than half. Large model algorithms, computer vision, SLAM, autonomous driving, embodied intelligence, AIGC and more than 960 positions directly related to AI were put on the table, each one a pathway to the future.
Those coming to "seek talent" formed a truly star-studded team: 18 universities, research institutes, and major science and innovation platforms including the Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, BGI Hangzhou Life Science Research Institute, Zhejiang University Binjiang Research Institute, Peking University Information Technology Institute in Zhejiang, Beihang University Hangzhou Innovation Research Institute, and Xidian University Hangzhou Research Institute were in attendance; 50 listed companies including ArcSoft, Supcon Technology, Unitree Robotics, Hangcha Group, FPI, Huadong Medicine, and Zhongce Rubber, along with 20 state-owned enterprises such as Unicom Data, Dongfang Electric, Hangzhou Communications Investment Group, and Wasu Media, all recruited on the same stage. Many employer booths had long queues from start to finish, with resumes piling up one after another.
Ms. Gu, a design graduate from Dongseo University in South Korea who is expected to graduate at the end of August this year and has multiple overseas project experiences, decided to visit upon learning about the job fair in Hangzhou. She has already submitted three resumes and found the overall experience quite positive. "I really like in-person interviews because I can communicate directly with HR, which is more efficient," Ms. Gu said.
AI Saturation at Its Peak: On-Site Experience of AI Empowering Every Industry
To help talent understand and experience Hangzhou's AI industry development on site, 13 districts, counties, and county-level cities brought relevant companies and AI products and services to the venue. At the Binjiang District booth, Unitree robots nimbly completed walking, jumping, and turning, drawing gasps of amazement; next to the Yinyue X1 exoskeleton robot in Gongshu District, several job seekers rushed to "wear" and experience it, exclaiming that "black technology is right beside us"; at the robotic arm coffee kiosk in Linping District, the barista was a nimble robotic arm; nearby, a Huigan Intelligent robot dog wagged its head and tail, proactively "greeting" onlookers.
Further in, surprises kept coming: the AI glasses-free 3D advertising machine in Xihu District displayed three-dimensional images without any wearable device, while the Tom Cat AI robot could chat and keep people company; at the Yuhang District booth, dexterous hands pinched and flexed freely, Lingban AI glasses rested lightly on noses, and robot guide dogs steadily avoided pedestrians; at the Jiande City booth, job seekers lined up to experience brain-computer interface devices, while on the other side an AIGC interactive device "drew" a creative short film in seconds based on prompts.
Shangcheng's ophthalmic surgical robot and scent diffuser, Xiaoshan's flight simulator and smart health mirror, Qiantang's educational robot and emotion companion, Fuyang's inspection robot and VR glasses, Lin'an's logistics humanoid robot, brain-inspired chip and computing power card, Tonglu's unmanned boat, unmanned vehicle models and endoscopic surgical robot, Chun'an's cycling interactive experience machine... The 13 districts, counties, and county-level cities brought AI products into the job fair venue, allowing job seekers to get a hands-on feel for the "future" while looking for work.
Chatting About Jobs While Browsing Booths: Immersive Services Accelerate the Job Search
Whether the recruitment experience is good or not comes down to the details. The venue specially set up functional service areas including AI interactive experience, district overview displays, and mentor career planning, striving to make the "last mile" of job seeking both smooth and warm. By scanning the QR code of the "AI Job Search Assistant," job seekers could access one-click intelligent job matching, with the system automatically matching companies and pushing positions based on resumes and preferences, saving the hassle of searching booth by booth. In the "Talent Empowerment Station" area, six mentors and experts including senior HR professionals, the vice dean of the China Academy of Art's Entrepreneurship College, the deputy director of Zhejiang A&F University's Employment Guidance Service Center, and a senior building engineer were invited to "sit for consultations" on site, helping young talent polish resumes, plan careers, and prepare for interviews. At each district and county booth, staff explained district conditions and industrial policies clearly; free resume printing, rest and refreshment services, and other considerate amenities also let weary job seekers feel the warmth of the city. The organizers stated that they will continue to follow up on connections and provide good follow-up services, enabling more talented individuals to have a "two-way connection" with Hangzhou.
