China Merchants Bank Gains Regulatory Nod for Two Director Appointments, Realigns Board Committees

China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. announced that the National Financial Regulatory Administration has approved the appointment qualifications of Mr. Li Yungui and Mr. Huo Da as non-executive directors. Their tenures became effective on 22 September 2026 and will run until the conclusion of the Bank’s Thirteenth Board term.

Concurrently, the Board—at its 18th meeting of the Thirteenth Session—approved revisions to committee assignments, effective the same day. Mr. Li Yungui joins the Strategy and Sustainable Development Committee, while Mr. Huo Da assumes the role of chairman of the Risk and Capital Management Committee, succeeding Mr. Jiang Chaoyang.

Following these changes, the Board comprises two executive directors (Wang Xiaoqing and Zhong Desheng), nine non-executive directors, and six independent non-executive directors.
