Australian AI infrastructure company Firmus announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with US tech giant Meta Platforms to provide graphics processing unit (GPU) compute using its data center facilities in Southeast Asia.
Under the agreement, Firmus will deliver contracted compute capacity and expansion options based on Nvidia's full-stack DSX platform to support Meta's artificial intelligence research, model development, and training work.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The transaction builds on Meta's previous deployment of Nvidia B300 NVL72 systems at Firmus's Melbourne data center, which was the largest Blackwell Ultra system deployment in the Southern Hemisphere.
Firmus designs, manufactures, and operates AI factories intended to support large-scale workloads.
The company is preparing for a $5 billion initial public offering (IPO) to fund the growth of its AI projects; if successfully executed, it would become the second-largest IPO in Australian history.
