Goose Mine Crusher Repairs and Gold Recovery Outlook

Deep News
Sep 29

On September 29, increasing mine output sometimes depends first on whether the crushing stage can operate steadily. An update on Goose mine operations shows that after new mobile crushing equipment was put into use in August, average daily processing has exceeded 3,000 tonnes of ore since the middle of the month. The company still maintains its full-year gold production target of 170,000 to 200,000 ounces, but planned and actual completion volumes need to be continuously compared. The subsequent upgrade and repair of the fixed crushing system is a key milestone. Mobile equipment eases the bottleneck and helps improve the pace of ore preparation, but an increase in processed tonnes does not necessarily bring a proportional increase in gold. The grade entering the grinding system, recovery rates, and effective operating time will all change the final gold output corresponding to the same amount of ore. The company expects the strongest production performance in the fourth quarter, meaning the full-year target relies heavily on year-end operating quality. If the equipment remains stable, front-end ore supply and back-end processing may link up more smoothly; if new shutdowns occur, expectations for a concentrated quarterly release could be affected. To judge capacity recovery, continuous data should be observed rather than single-day highs. Raw material inventory is also worth watching. Preparing sufficient ore in advance can reduce short-term supply fluctuations, but inventory levels still need to match appropriate grades. As production arrangements advance, processing capacity, feed grade, and downtime duration should be read as a set of indicators. Tracking equipment commissioning news alone can easily overestimate the pace of overall system improvement; only by connecting maintenance completion, sustained operation, and metal recovery can production delivery be better understood. The full-year guidance is still a company expectation.
